I love graphic design. Balancing shapes and colors with typography is exciting to me. I love the smell of a box of freshly printed brochures and the feel of thumbing over Pantone color chip books. In 1993 I learned to code HTML. It was apparent to me then that web design is brand design. As the Corporate Art Director for Xcel Energy I pitched and designed their first public website.
My education includes art school at Syracuse University, Parson’s School of Design in NYC & the Colorado Institute of Art. I’ve worked in publishing, public relations, digital studios, web development, IT solutions, advertising agencies and for many years I was a corporate art director. I’ve lead teams of artists and technicians as the creative director and followed direction too.
In my spare time I’m an oil painter and a member of the Art Student’s League of Denver and the Art Gym cooperative space. To find subjects to paint, I explore the Rocky mountains with my hiking buddies, mini-dachshund and camera.
